There are some reasons as follow. (1) The grinding mechanism of the metal-silicon grinder shows that a certain thickness of material layer must be kept between the grinding disc and the grinding roller, so that the special feature of high-pressure loading can be exerted. The thickness of the material layer is related to the feed quantity and the adjustment value of the disc-roller gap. (2) In order to keep the roller from contacting with the grinding disc, reduce the wear and vibration between the metals, and make the metal-silicon mill start under no-load, there should also be a gap adjustment device. This kind of adjusting device can be adjusted by adjusting screw or adjusting screw.
